Today started with a ride in the car out to Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX. What a fun display of old cars nose's buried in the middle of a farm field. Then off to IHOP for breakfast.
Our ride out of Amarillo took us into east side neighborhoods and the downtown area before heading us out of town past the airport. The word of the day was WIND and blowing as a crosswind at 26mph and made for a hard day of riding.
We rode past the "Stoner Patriot Peace Garden of All Faiths"
This is a memorial garden for faith based and non faith based people who have been lost in foreign wars. It's a moving and spiritual place suggesting that all people need peace in the world.
I had to stop today and take a picture of a roadside memorial . One of many we have seen on this trip. A very grim reminder that driving is dangerous, and mixed with speed and alcohol can be deadly. It breaks your heart when you see memorials with six crosses and you wonder what events lead up to the accident. Slow down, don't drink and drive!!
My eye catches old structures, interesting subjects, and fun places. I hope you enjoy today's selections.
