Day 13 Crossed the State Line

April,14 Chambers AZ to Gallup, NM

Today was a pretty routine ride primarily the freeway. We tried to ride on the frontage road next to the freeway, but it was extremely rough and pot holed. We opted to get back on the freeway and take it all the way into Gallup, New Mexico.
Gallup is fairly good size geographically. We road 5 miles to Angela's Cafe at the train station. This little cafe was some of the best food and atmosphere we've had on this trip. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us choose our meal.  Angela the owner spent awhile talking to us about the city, the train station, her business there, and life in Gallup.
We were able to put our bikes in the station behind the counter where they were safe while we dined at the cafe.
Back on the bikes we road three more miles to our hotel. That makes this city at least eight to nine miles in length.
Tonight we took our first dip in a hot tub since we started almost two weeks ago. It felt good to just relax with nowhere to go tonight.
