April 13 Holbrook Arizona to Chambers Arizona
We left our Wigwam Motel and went to find breakfast in town at a local café before heading off on a ride for the day. Our ride took us out to Petrified Forest National Park and onto the Painted Desert. Petrified Forest National Park is a wonderful park full of history and beautiful vistas. It was hard to pass up opportunities for pictures and everywhere I looked there was another picture that I would’ve loved to have made. As we rode further we came into the Painted Desert just as the sun was beginning to give that sweet natural light the kind of light that makes dramatic looking pictures.
We ended our day in Chambers Arizona at a Days Inn. It was awful accommodations for the night and the kind of conditions that required us to clean the rooms with our disinfectant wipes. The restaurant next-door was only passable because we were hungry with nowhere else to go.
